How to Make Apple Raita at Home
The harsh Indian summers are here and this recipe is an excellent way to cool you down.
Raitas otherwise are yoghurt based dishes that are served with the main meal in Northern India. You take a spoonful of this once in a while basically to cleanse your palate.
And the best part—like salads, you don’t need to cook anything!
Ingredients
Yoghurt-400 grams (14oz) (1 + 1/2 cups)
Grated Apple-1
Chaat Masala-1/2 teaspoon
Black Salt-1/4 teaspoon
Cumin seeds (pre-roasted and crushed)-1 teaspoon
Salt-1 teaspoon
Sugar-4 teaspoon
Method
In a bowl, whisk the yoghurt well with all ingredients EXCEPT THE GRATED APPLE.
Now add the grated apple and mix well.
That’s all.
Your Apple Raita is ready.
