A nice warm grilled egg sandwich for breakfast can be the ultimate luxury. This is because the grilled egg sandwich, with those nice grill lines, not only looks good but also tastes divine. The egg filling with grated cheese and mustard paste can keep you full till lunch which also means fewer hunger pangs and therefore the need to snack in between. However, you don’t need to visit your nearest deli to have a grilled sandwich or a panini. This recipe can be easily replicated at home.
Ingredients
  • Egg-1 Hard boiled and shelled
  • Grated Cheese-25 grams
  • Butter-1 teaspoon
  • Tomato Ketchup-2 teaspoon
  • English/Dijon Mustard paste-1/4 teaspoon
  • Chopped up onion-1 teaspoon
  • Chopped up tomatoes-1 teaspoon
  • Bread-2 slices of your choice
  • Sprinkle of Salt and Pepper
Instructions
  1. In a bowl, mash the hard boiled egg well.
  2. Add together all the ingredients and mix well.
  3. Spread on one piece of bread and press the other slice to make a sandwich.
  4. Put this sandwich into a COLD (not preheated) grill, close cover, and switch it on.
  5. Let the sandwich become crisp slowly.
  6. A good idea is to have a peek inside the grill, once in a while, to check if the toast has reached the desired level of brownness.
  7. Take the sandwich out on to a plate.
  8. You may like to cut your grilled egg sandwich in half, diagonally, to make it easier to eat.

This grilled egg sandwich recipe is for one person. For more persons, all ingredients need to be multiplied in equal proportion.
