Ingredients
Chicken-1 (Approx. 800 grams) cut into 8 pieces
Wheat flour–2 tablespoon
Milk-500 grams
Cheese Cheddar-50 grams
Fresh Cream (Low fat)–200 grams
Canned mixed fruit–1 small can
Apple-1
Cucumber-1
Black grapes to decorate- 100 grams
Butter-1 teaspoon
Salt-to taste
Sugar-1 teaspoon
Method:
Boil the chicken in a pressure cooker with one cup of water and salt. Let the cooker come to full pressure, then turn to SIM and cook for 5 minutes. After releasing pressure, open the lid and dry the chicken on high. While the chicken is drying on one flame, make the white sauce i.e. put the butter in a pan on the flame and after the butter melts, add the flour. Gently mix the flour with the butter making sure that the flour DOES NOT turn brown. Switch off the heat source and let the flour cool down. When it comes to room temperature, gently add the milk (also at room temperature) and mix well to ensure that no lumps are formed. Return this to the fire and add the cheese and a bit of salt. As soon as it thickens, your white sauce is ready.
In a bowl, whisk the fresh cream with the sugar and a pinch of salt. To this, add the canned fruit and the chopped up apple and the cucumber. In a big serving dish, place the chicken in the middle, each piece separately and pour the white sauce over it. Put the mixed fruit all along the sides and decorate with the black grapes. You can eat it at room temperature if it is very cold or cool it in the fridge if the weather is hot.
Your delicious cold chicken is ready.
