A BIG THANK YOU: Home Style Indian Cooking Hits No. 1 in Hot New Releases category on Amazon

HNR-Indian cooking

Dear Readers,
Thank you so much for making my latest book “Home Style Indian Cooking In A Jiffy” hit the no. 1 mark in the Hot New Releases category in Indian Cooking.
I’m truly overwhelmed.
I don’t know how to explain this quite an unprecedented feat for a rather unknown author. So I have to attribute this, first, to the quality of the recipes that I have so painstakingly put out in this book; second, to the growing popularity of Indian cuisine in the world and third, to the desire to learn an easy way to master this cuisine that this Book attempts to provide.
I’m amazed that even non-English speaking regions of the world like Japan, Spain, Germany, Italy and France have downloaded my book for FREE during the campaign period (25 December 2013 to 29 December 2013). At the end of the campaign, on 29 December 2013 (US Pacific Standard Time), the region-wise downloads indicated by Amazon were:
USA: 1003; UK:  219; Germany: 53; France: 1; Spain: 6; Italy: 3; Japan: 7; India: 31; Canada: 55; and Australia: 12.
Total: 1,390 downloads.
Much as I’d like to continue sharing my work with as many readers as possible, I regret that under my current terms of agreement with Amazon, there is no way that I could extend this FREE offer, beyond five days, even to my family members.
Today, in the morning of 1 January 2014 (at around 10.30 am), I was pleased to see that my book is in the top 10 among the top 100 paid Best Seller books category on Indian cooking. My book is also No. 1 in the Hot New Releases in Indian Cooking, No. 2 rank in the Hot New Releases category in Professional Cooking and No. 3 rank in Asian Cooking.
So to those 1390 who could remember to download this eBook, may I appeal to please give me some feedback and leave a review on Amazon, if you are happy?
Some of those who have started reading the book have complimented me about the interesting way I introduce my story of how I came to write this book. Others have marvelled at how I have taken the tedium out of Indian cuisine by explaining how using the tools of sequencing and parallel processing anyone can put together a four course Indian meal in less than 30 minutes (literally in a jiffy!).
I’m grateful for all these observations. Comments like these only keep authors like us going on with their sometimes lonely furrow. So please do keep those observations/comments/advice coming in.
Wishing you all a very Happy New Year,
Prasenjeet
On behalf of the entire Cooking In A Jiffy Team
