A Light Home Made Honey Orange Chicken Recipe

 orange chicken recipe
This is an extremely delicious and low calorie honey orange chicken recipe. The sweet and tangy taste of orange paired with the subtle saltiness of the entire dish is really appetising and soothing.
Ingredients
Chicken breast boneless-1
Honey-1 teaspoon
Orange juice non-sweetened-1/2 cup
Orange zest-1 teaspoon (Take the skin of an orange and scrape off the white portion. The skin then forms the zest.)
Garlic-2 cloves crushed
Chilli flakes-1/4 teaspoon
Salt to taste
Cooking oil-1 teaspoon
Butter-1 teaspoon
Spring Onions (chopped up along with leaves)-2
Method
In a pan, heat the cooking oil and butter together.
Add the chicken breast after sprinkling some salt on it.
Roast well on both sides till the chicken breast becomes light brown.
Meanwhile, in a bowl mix together the honey, orange juice, orange zest, garlic, chilli flakes and rest of the salt.
Add this mixture to the chicken breast and let it cook till the chicken becomes nice and soft and the sauce thickens.
Turn off the flame and then add the spring onions.
Your Honey Orange Chicken is ready.
This dish really goes well with Sauté vegetables and roasted baby potatoes.
